Drexel Women's Tennis Drops Season Opener to Hawks

Philadelphia -Drexel women's tennis lost 4-3 to Saint Joseph's in the Dragons' first match of the 2006-07 season. The teams split the six singles matches but the Hawks swept doubles play to earn the victory.

In her first collegiate match, Gabriela Marginean won at No. 1 singles for the Dragons as she defeated Stephanie Velazquez in straight sets. Drexel's other winners in singles play were Jaimee Wylie and Hana Stecova.

The Dragons return to action on Monday, Oct. 9 in match at Monmouth starting at 2:30 p.m.
